From the Richelieu to the Eastern Townships

Head east to begin your gourmet journey at the Hôtel Rive Gauche in Beloeil, where you can visit one of Canada's largest wine cellars, winner of the Wine Spectator Grand Award. You will also be near the Gault Nature Reserve in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, where many trails adapted to different levels will offer you an exceptional view at the top, making it ideal for a picnic with your lover or family. And if you prefer to go all out, book a dinner at Bistro Le Coureur des Bois, the restaurant of the Hôtel Rive Gauche, for a perfectly balanced and mouthwatering seasonal cuisine.

Keep on discovering the Eastern Townships by taking Highway 10 to Brome Lake and the parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton, known for its numerous hiking trails. Want to head west instead? We suggest a second active and gourmet itinerary starting at the Auberge des Gallant in Ste-Marthe in the heart of the forest. Stroll along the trails and take the time to admire the beautiful gardens that will add a touch of romance to your stay. Enjoy the evening at Restaurant 1171, rated 5 stars by the Guide Debeur. Try their tasting menu for the ultimate dining experience inspired by the Quebec and Ontario terroir.

After a good rest, you can either take Highway 50 to get to the Wakefield Mill Hotel & Spa, or drive through Ontario on Highway 417 to get to the same location! When you arrive at the hotel, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of MacLaren Falls. You can also take a culinary journey by booking a dinner at La Muse Restaurant. Primarily inspired by the gourmet traditions of France and Quebec, the menu is also infused with international flavors that pair perfectly with their wines from around the world. Nearby, you can also enjoy the rich biodiversity of the Outaouais' green lung, Gatineau Park, during a day hike.

The flavors of Lanaudière and Centre-du-Québec

For those who wish to head further north, take Highway 40 towards Sainte-Émélie-de-L'Énergie to relax at Auberge du Vieux-Moulin. Their gourmet menu with three alternating tables d'hôte will satisfy all types of appetites. Regional cheese fondue, beef cheek with maple and red wine... There is something for everyone! You can also go for a walk nearby at the Parc régional des Sept-Chutes for an exceptional panoramic view of the Matawinie. If you wish to go further, the trails of the inn are also at your disposal.

To continue your discovery of the flavors of Lanaudière, take route 131 to Auberge de la Montagne Coupée. The young and creative team will surprise you with its menu that follows the latest culinary trends. You should absolutely walk around the inn and go to the balcony of the Edelweiss Pavilion to enjoy the exceptional view of the Lanaudière region.

Next, head to the Hôtel Château Joliette, home to one of the city's best restaurants, Table G. The chef describes his cuisine as rebellious and pleasantly casual, and suggests that you try the G experience. You'll be treated to an experience that combines the cuisine of Table G with the extensive cocktail menu of Bar G. Not knowing in advance which dishes will be featured, only the most daring will have the courage (and the happiness!) to try it!

Then head for the Centre-du-Québec region where you can stay at Auberge Godefroy or Hôtel Montfort Nicolet. The first one offers you an experience combining relaxation and gastronomy.
